Hi There!
So, I haven’t written a blog post since August which is rather shocking to be honest…
In September I started my MSc in Digital Marketing and that has consumed all elements of time and my brain power. However, I feel more in the loop now mentally and, therefore I am going to start writing again!
I am very excited to share with you my new music favourites as my taste has varied a lot since August. I still love Reggae a lot, but I have been listening to less of it and more rap!
So, inevitably my first favourite song of March is…
Black SpiderMan – Logic
I can imagine myself getting ready and doing my makeup whilst listening to this song. Logic has the power of transforming my mood from one side of the spectrum to the other! His music is relaxing and transforming. I’m sure that you’ll be able to tell that he is one of my favourite artists from the list below and future lists.
Redbone – Childish Gambino
I have a confession… I only heard this song around a week ago – but I love it a lot! I love listening to Childish Gambino in the summertime as he produces such feel-good songs which correlate with the sun perfectly! If you remember and loved Summertime Magic, you will love this!
No Peace – Sam Smith
Sam Smith is the one pop and soul artist that I listen to non-stop all year round! His delicate voice with the simplistic instruments humming makes for an amazing song! This song is beautiful and has definitely helped me through some late-night study sessions!
Everybody – Logic
I love this song!!! That is all that needs to be said. Very political and focuses on important subjects to do with prejudices, very well written.
Bad – Wale (feat. Rihanna)
I came across this song accidently and have listened to it non-stop ever since! I am not usually one to listen to female singers (apart from Ariana Grande of course!), but this song appealed to me and it is definitely one of my favourites!
No Role Modelz – J. Cole
J. Cole is one of my favourite artists no doubt! After listening to KOD, I have listened to all of his music that he has released ever since! He is a feel-good artist who can be listened to and reminisced with all year round. I also recommend Déjà Vu which is also a simplistic rap song, but with a lot of meaning.
LOVE. – Kendrick Lamar
This song is perfect for relaxing in the bath and getting lost in your thoughts! Just lay back and let the tranquillity take you in!
I Love – Joyner Lucas
The American rapper captures the meaning of rap music perfectly, consequently having a huge fan base! He is a rapper who has a very good voice and propels catchy songs all the time!
Dang! – Mac Miller
I must admit… I have been listening to a lot of Mac Miller in the last 4 months and I can’t seem to get bored at all of his music! I can listen to one of his songs for hours on end and still love it as much as I did when I started! He had the ability to pacify whoever listens to his music and it is beyond perfect to relax to!
Gang Related – Logic
Logic killing it once again!!! Another very expressive song about gang life from his childhood home in Maryland. It is very inspirational and captures the events of the gang culture perfectly.
So, this is my top March music favourites!
Music is a huge part of my life, so I am excited to share with you my favourites and I am excited to see how it evolves in the future.
Much love!
