Hey everyone!

So, University is coming to a close for me and I have one assignment left to do before I am entering the big, scary world… which means I can read for pleasure again! Finally. I seem to have been so engulfed in my course that I only seem to read Renaissance Literature and Shakespeare. I am super excited to start reading for me again (thrillers especially)! I have come up with an abundance of novels that I hope to read over May. Some are classics, some are new finds but, I am super excited about it! So here is my list…

Malorie Blackman – Knife Edge

So, my favourite novel has been Noughts & Crosses, since I can remember. I found out a couple of months ago that this is actually a series… I can’t tell you how excited I am to delve back into this fictional dystopia!

Charles Dickens – Little Dorrit

I have read this novel more times than I can remember. However, for Christmas my dad bought me an 1867 copy from a little book shop in Lyme Regis, West Dorset. So, I am super excited to explore the realms of Dickens again.

Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express

Detective novels are not common for me to read but, I am excited to read this classic as it has just been reprinted.

Harper McClain – The Echo Killing

This was recommended to me by a friend. Of course, I can’t say no to a thriller.

Gayle Forman – I Have Lost My Way

If I Stay was an unbelievable novel so I have high hopes for this book and this author.

Tessa Gratton – The Queens of Innis Lear

I have heard big things about Tessa Gratton’s novels which incorporate, romance, fantasy and horror. What more could you want?

Alexandra Christo – To Kill a Kingdom

I haven’t read many novels based around mermaids or sirens so this one really stuck out to me.

Jamey Bradbury – The Wild Inside

Finally, another psychological thriller that has positive reviews. I am very excited to explore the world of Alaska.

There is definitely a theme of fantasy and thrillers, but I am excited to read what I like rather than set novels on my course. I am particularly excited for Knife Edge, as Noughts & Crosses has been my favourite novel for about 8 years.

Anyway, have a great day!
